If the U.S. dollar fails what currency will be replacing it as the worlds reserve currency?

Many countries have expressed a desire to create a new currency to be used as the world's reserve currency, but the problems surrounding that are pretty daunting. I'm betting the Japanese Yen or the Chinese Yuan would become the world's reserve currency (and if that happens we're screwed).
