The bracket holding my AC broke, causing the belt to wear out on my 2002 Saturn SL2. It was a hard to find discontinued part and the AC didn't work anyway so I opted for a serpentine belt that bypasses it altogether. Now that it is nothing more than a dead appendage on my engine, how much of the system can I remove? There's lots of lines, both electrical and cooling, even one that connects to the engine itself. I would like to remove as much as I can, but don't want to leave anything exposed that might cause future problems.
